The 13th edition of Slow Food Terra Madre Salone del Gusto will be held in Turin at Lingotto Fiere on October 8-12, 2020. This year, the design and message will focus on openness, connection, collaboration, climate and sustainability. Breaking with tradition, exhibitors will be grouped according to ecosystems, rather than map boundaries, giving visitors a new way of thinking about our food system from “agricultural production to the sharing of cooked meals.” The new, revolutionary exhibition space will also provide more opportunities to connect with the people who work every day to shape the future of food. “A future for which Slow Food is calling action to all its activists, youth, producers, cooks, experts, academics, delegate and members who’ve participated in previous editions so they may contribute their ideas and proposals, projects and energy.”

According to Paolo Di Croce, General Secretary of Slow Food, “the environmental and climate crisis we’re living through, and the great challenge of putting drastic change into effect within the next ten years, as the UN tell us is necessary, together with this historic moment in the life of Slow Food, make the next edition of Terra Madre an extraordinary occasion, perhaps the most important yet celebrated”.

DELEGATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Slow Food USA encourages Americans to attend the event and has 195 delegate scholarships available from Slow Food International. The scholarships will cover accommodation, meals and ground transportation (not air travel).

DELEGATE REGISTRATION

Those not applying for a scholarship can simply register as a USA delegate and will be given credentials, invited to the National Meeting, and included in general communications about the event. There is no cap on this number, and our hope is to register folks who would not normally go through the delegate process, to be sure they are included in our activities. The registration is a simple form here.
