We are looking for volunteers to help harvest and transplant fall vegetables at the Center for Urban Horticulture at the University of Washington on Saturday, August 28th.
The program’s mission is to be the campus center for the practice and study of urban agriculture and sustainability, and an educational, community-oriented resource for people who want to learn about building productive and sustainable urban landscapes.

Activities:
Harvesting tomatoes and squash
Transplanting kale and cabbages
Direct seeding parsnips
Weeding and removing bindweed
Please bring:
Please bring a refillable water bottle, a hat and sunscreen.
The farm team will provide gloves and tools, but if you have a comfortable pair of gloves, feel free to bring them.
Please avoid wearing black or yellow clothes (heat and bees).
There are picnic tables on the farm to eat lunch if you’d like to bring one. There is also a restroom on site.
